Gold captured this Mantine while battling Lugia at the Whirl Islands. Using the Remoraids attached to it as propellers, it is able to glide through the sky and serves as Gold’s means of aerial transport.
Originally a rental Pokemon at the Hoenn Battle Factory, Emerald calmed it after it was set into a rampage by Guile Hideout. Noland let Emerald keep it on his team afterwards.
