Many years ago, Arceus was betrayed by humans who forcefully extracted the Plates from its body. Due to Archer’s lure, it descended back to the land from its realm, with a desire to pass judgment on humans and destroy them. It appeared to Crystal and the Four Generals of Team Rocket on Route 38. After Crystal’s failed attempt to capture it, it flew off to Ecruteak to wreak havoc, and was subsequently chased down Gold to the Ruins of Alph. It then brought everyone to the Sinjoh Ruins, where it created Dialga, Palkia and Giratina on the Mystri Stage. It eventually regained the 16 Plates it lost long ago, but its anger persisted and Dialga, Palkia and Giratina were about to destroy Sinjoh along with Johto and Sinnoh. While Giovanni, Lance and Pryce stopped the three dragons, Gold eventually proved to Arceus that humans could still be trusted, and its rage subsided. It sent the dragons back to their respective dimensions and departed itself at the end.
