Parasect, The Mushroom Pokémon. It's a parasite pair. The mushroom has taken over the bug host. It prefers damp places. The bug host's energy is drained by the Mushroom, the Mushroom seems to do the thinking. The mushroom releases poisonous spores, they have been known to be used as Medicines. It stays in the dark and damp, a preference of the Mushroom, not the bug. The larger the Mushroom, the more spores released. When theres nothing left to extract from the bug, the Mushroom leaves spores on it's eggs. It is known to infest trees and drain nutrients from them, once the tree dies...they move to the next

Parasect's stats are all slightly below average(Except its attack stat) and its speed really lets this pokemon down. But it does learn Spore which is good if you want to get an extra turn/s to attack your opponent. Be aware of Parasect's 4x weakness to flying types, especially if you think your opponent might have a pokemon that knows Aerial ace, switch out before he has a chance to use it. HP Bug takes advantage of Parasects attack strength and STAB.

Max out the EVs in HP for Parasect with any remaining in Special Defense & Defense
Strategy Against Parasect
Parasect has above average defenses so your best bet is to strike with Super Effective attacks. Fire will be the most damaging here...a simple Ember will cause serious damage
