After coming in the Top 8th position in the Hoenn League, Ash learns of The Battle Frontier. A Selection of different ways to Battle all dotted around Kanto. May, after coming in the Top 4 of the Grand Festival learns about Pokémon Contests that are also dotted around Kanto. With their friends Max & Brock, Ash & May travel around Kanto in order to defeat each Battle Area & Contest. Will they conquer these Challenges and get more new Pokémon?

Ash befriends an Aipom that follows him

Ash catches the Aipom that begun following him
May is defeated by Drew's rival Saori in the Grand Festival and comes in the Top 4
Ash loses a rematch against Brandon. Calling upon Torkoal against Registeel.
May learns that Drew & Harley are heading to Johto. Ash learns that Gary is in Shinou
Ash's Bulbasaur, Charizard & Squirtle return for Ash's rematch with Brandon
Ash has a rematch 4 on 4 against Brandon. Ash wins and earns the Brave Symbol.
Ash is offered a role as a Frontier Brain for when the next Frontier Brain steps down
