Nidoking

Nidoking, The Drill Pokémon. It's recognised by it's rock-hard hide and it's extended horn. It's horn is said to cotnain venom. It uses it's tail in battle to smash, constrict and break his prey's bones. It's steel like hide adds to it's powerful tackle. It's horn is so hard it can pierce diamond. It the foe flinches, it will charge with it's Sturdy body. Melee Combat is it's specialty. With one swing of it's tail it can topple a metal transmission tower. Once it starts a rampage, there is no stopping it

Battle Moveset

A Good Moveset for Nidoking would have to be this:

Attacks:

Megahorn
Shadow Ball
Body Slam
Earthquake

Items Attached:

Salac Berry

Preferred Nature:

Adamant

Strategy Using Nidoking

Nidoking has its stats placed quite fairly, with its strongest stat being attack and with such a varied movepool, it can learn attacks to use this attack strength.
With 85 base speed, its fairly fast and could possibly attack first, which is nearly always beneficial in battles.
It has a few weaknesses, which include Psychic types and since it can learn Megahorn, which covers quite a few types such as Grass, Dark, Psychic, its a useful attack for it to learn.
Body slam is quite useful due to its high base power and has a chance of paralysing your opponent, which will become ever so useful if you're up against a pokemon considerably faster than Nidoking, and the chance of the pokemon missing a turn will allow you to get a free hit in.
Earthquake gains the necessary STAB to sweep away any pokemon that the three other moves may not cover. Shadow ball is basically to cover Ghost types, so you can easily replace that with HP Rock or Rock slide, to cover flying types and you will have something that will still hit Ghost types.
As for the hold item, it can either be the Salac berry, Liechi berry (to boost attack obviously) or even quick claw if you feel that you may go up against a pokemon with faster speed and a type advantage, such as Alakazam. Nidoking can also use special attacks, but not as well as it can use those physical attacks it learns.
Overall, Nidoking is Pokemon that's designed to go offensively into battle, but its defenses may leave it at a disadvantage, depending on the situation.
