Street Pass Battle

This mode utilises the Street Pass feature of the Nintendo 3DS. If you encounter a player with the game while you walk past them with the 3DS in sleep mode, you will have your data sent to them and you will receive their data. With this, you will find their Mii and they shall challenge you with a Pokémon of their choice. This challenge is done as a boss battle in-game. If you defeat the Pokémon, you can earn a prize; the Pokémon.

Co-Op Mode

This mode utilises the wireless features to allow you to join up with a friend who also has the game and progress through the various levels of the game. Due to the fact that you are teaming up, you will encounter challenges of a higher difficulty. However, the likelihood of finding Pokémon toys to collect is increased when you play in this mode. All other gameplay elements remain the same

Unlocks

As you communicate with various people over Street Pass or with wireless features, various Pokémon will start to appear in a variety of levels. These Pokémon cannot be obtained in that level without activating them through these means. Once activated, they will not always appear in the level, but have a chance of appearing.

However, if you don't have the ability to meet people, you can exchange a number of Play Coins earned on the 3DS in order to activate these Pokémon. In addition to that, the other Miis on the 3DS system will also occassionally visit and these count towards the figures
