It has many interesting areas including a statue of the legendary dragon Pokémon as well as one of the Team Galactic headquarters. It also has a herb shop where certain items can be purchased. After the National Dex is earned, Professor Oak takes residence within this city. You also meet Roark's grandfather who will give you the Explorer Kit so you can reach the Sinnoh Underground. Name Changer In the large building next to the PokéMart of Eterna City, you will find an old man who will rate the nicknames of your Pokémon. He will also provide the service of changing the name of the Pokémon. Gym The Eterna Gym differs between Diamond & Pearl and Platinum. In Diamond & Pearl, you have to go through, defeating each trainer to cause the next one to appear until you reach Gardenia. In Platinum, however, you have to defeat the trainers to make the platform in the middle rotate so that you can reach Gardenia.
