Legendary Pokémon
Like the other games, there are a few Legendary Pokémon to be found within the Galar region. These Pokémon are the most powerful ones around and are difficult to capture
Eternatus |

Location: Energy Plant During the game's story, Chairman Rose will awaken Eternatus and use its power to bring the Darkest Day. Leon, as Champion, is trying to take it on but is struggling so it ends up being up to you to battle Eternatus, the mysterious Legendary Pokémon. This, however, cannot be captured
After defeating it, it will end up changing form in a Dynamax style change called Eternamax. This form has the highest base stats to exist for a Pokémon and has to be faced in a Max Raid Battle while teamed with Hop, Zacian and Zamazenta. After defeating it, you have the chance to capture the Legendary Pokémon

Location: Energy Plant In the post-game, you will be hunting down Sordard and Shielbert and face their claims that Sonia's book about the history of Zacian and Zamazenta are inaccurate and they're descendants of the true heroes of the Galar region. In doing so, they'll attack the Legendary Pokémon of the other game causing you to have to fight it. Once defeated, the other Legendary will appear and will challenge you to a battle. They come with the item attached that lets them change the form. You get Zacian in Pokémon Sword and Zamazenta in Pokémon Shield

Location: Battle Tower After completing the league and becoming Champion, when you go to the Battle Tower, you will find a member of League Staff with a Type: Null. She will say she needs a trainer to take care of it and offers it to you. She also gives you all the Memory items for when it evolves.

Location: Crown Shrine Getting Calyrex, Gastrier and Spectrier is a long process. To do it, you need to follow Calyrex's story and help it be remembered and build the Reins of Unity. First you need to get Carrot Seeds for Dynite Ore in Freezington. As the story progresses, you'll get the choice of whether to plant it in the Icy area or in the Old Cemetry. If you select the Ice area you'll get Glastrier and if you select the Cemetry you get Spectrier. After you battle the horses in Freezington, it'll run off. Calyrex suggests going to its old shrine with the carrot to lure it. You need to be Champion to catch Calyrex.

Location: Rock Peak Ruins As part of the "The Terrible Titans... Lurking Locked Away" story, you'll be able to hunt down the three titans. You'll find Rock Peak Ruins in the south-east of the Giant's Bed. If you have your lead Pokémon hold an everstone, the door will open to the temple. Highlight all the lights on the floor to encounter Regirock. You'll need 7 badges to catch it.

Location: Iceberg Ruins As part of the "The Terrible Titans... Lurking Locked Away" story, you'll be able to hunt down the three titans. You'll find Iceberg Ruins in the west of the Snowslide Slope. If you have your lead Pokémon be Cryogonal, the door will open to the temple. Highlight all the lights on the floor to encounter Regice. You'll need 7 badges to catch it.

Location: Iron Ruins As part of the "The Terrible Titans... Lurking Locked Away" story, you'll be able to hunt down the three titans. You'll find Iron Ruins in the west of the Giant's Bed. If you have whistle, the door will open to the temple. Highlight all the lights on the floor to encounter Registeel. You'll need 7 badges to catch it.

Location: Split-DecisiRuins As part of the "The Terrible Titans... Lurking Locked Away" story, you'll be able to hunt down the new titans. You'll find Split-DecisiRuins Ruins in Three-Point Pass. If you have Regirock, Regice and Registeel then the door will open. Light up the floor based on Regieleki or Regidrago's patterns and they will attack. You can only choose one. You'll need 7 badges to catch it.

Location: Giant's Bed In Giant's Bed, there's a Raid Den where you cannot put a Wishing Piece in. However, this isn't just an empty place but rather the location of Regigigas. If you have Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Regieleki and Regidrago in your party, if you go to the den and interact with it, Regigigas will pull you into a Max Raid Battle.

Once you have 50, then Cobalion will appear in Frigid Sea

Location: Max Lair After you have successfully catching 5 Ultra Beast Dynamax Adventures battles and have started the Ultra Beast story, a Poipole will appear in the Max Lair. This Poipole was found when the Ultra Wormholes opened up but keeps getting away from the leader of the Dynamax Adventures. She requests you take care of it.
