Biography
Erika at the Celadon Gym also runs a nice perfume shop made from the scents of her Grass Type Pokémon. When she was a child she was attacked by a wild Grmer until a Gloom came to rescue her, this Gloom became her close friend and she keeps it to this day. Erika is generally a kind person, but when someone insults perfume, she will and has barred them from entering the gym. However she is eager for a Pokémon battle and enjoys using her grass Pokémon in them. When Ash had his gym battle, the gym started to catch fire and with Ash's heroic actions, the gym was saved causing Erika to really respect Ash and give him the Rainbow Badge.

Erika has worked up the ranks and become the Celadon City Gym Leader

Tangela
One of Erika's battling Pokémon, Tangela is a strong Pokémon that manages to use it's vines and Stun Spore in order to incapacitate the enemy. However in it's battle against Ash, it managed to take out Bulbasaur before eventually surcomeing.

Weepinbell
Weepinbell was only seen briefly in battle with Ash. Against Ash's Charmander, Weepinbell did not stand much of a chance and had it's attacks destroyed by fire. It was eventually skull bashed out of the match.

Gloom
Meeting Erika when Erika was under attack from a Grimer, Gloom quickly joined Erika's team. While it emits a horrible scent when afraid and around people it doesn't know, it doesn't when around Erika. However this scent can be used in battle easily to incapacitate any of it's foes.
