Like previous games, Pokémon Black & White features an evil team who you'll have to face numerous times throughout the game. In this case, the team that you deal with is Team Plasma. Unlike the past ones, Team Plasma's mandate isn't to take over the world, but to free Pokémon from being enslaved.

You will first encounter Team Plasma in Accumula Town where you'll see Ghetsis, one of the leaders of Team Plasma, giving a speech about how people use Pokémon as tools and they should be freed so they can all become equals. Once the speech ends, the trainer known only as N will come up to you and introduce himself. He claims to have heard your Pokémon's voice and that he is a trainer, though questions the keeping of them in Pokéballs. He will challenge you to a battle so he can hear your Pokémon's voice. After you battle, he will talk about how he will raise Pokémon as friends.

Dreamyard

Your next encounter with Team Plasma is within the Dreamyard. Heading there to provide Dream Smoke for Fennel, you will soon see that Team Plasma who want to use Munna's Dream Smoke to appear in the dreams of people to convince them that the idea of freeing their Pokémon is the best idea. The grunts will challenge you to a battle. After you have defeated them, Ghetsis will seemingly appear to yell at the Grunts for failing. However, when the grunts leave, Musharna appears and Fennel states that Ghetsis was just a waking dream created by Musharna to protect Munna.

Wellspring Cave

When you enter Route 3 and have battled Cheren, Bianca and a young girl will appear and tell you that Team Plasma have just stolen the young girl's Pokémon. She will ask that you help them. Go to the Opening of the Underground Water Vein to the left and you'll find Cheren there with some Plasma Grunts. Challenge the grunts and defeat them and Team Plasma will leave, unfortunately not give you the Pokémon back.

Nacrene City

The next encounter is immediately after you defeat Lenora in the Nacrene City Gym. When you leave, you'll see that Team Plasma are out steal the head of the fossil in Nacrene Museum in order to try and revive the Pokémon to use it in their schemes. As they exit, Lenora and Burgh, the Castelia Gym Leader, ask you to go out and get it back. However, as you leave, N will appear and challenge you to a battle to see how friendly your Pokémon are.

Pinwheel Forest

Once you have defeated N, you must go to the west and into Pinwheel Forest, where Team Plasma have camped out in order to try and protect the Dragon Bone. Defeat each of the grunts as you travel through the forest and eventually you'll get to the end and fight a grunt who will eventually relinquish the Dragon Bone for you to return to the Nacrene Museum. Once all have beendefeated, Team Plasma will vacate the area.

Castelia City

When you get to Castelia City, you will find the Gym Leader Burgh isn't found at the Gym. Instead, you'll find he is at the pier with Iris anbd Bianca discussing the fact that Team Plasma have been spotted in the area having stolen Bianca's Munna. Go to the building on the left hand side of the Pokémon Gym street in Castelia City and three grunts will challenge you. Defeat them and enter the building and you'll find Ghetsis and two sages; Rood and Bronius. Ghetsis will tell you that they're trying to revive a Dragon Pokémon and will give you Bianca's Munna back. They'll quickly exit.

Liberty Garden Island

If you have the Liberty Pass, given over WiFi, you can now go to the Liberty Garden Island. Several Plasma grunts have taken over here and are causing a commotion while trying to take control of Victini. Defeat the grunts and Professor Juniper will appear and arrest the Plasma Grunts.

Nimbasa City

As soon as you enter Nimbasa City, you will see two Plasma Grunts are harassing an elderly man, the man who helps ru nthe Day Care Centre. Challenge them and defeat them and they'll quickly leave. The elderly man will give you the Bicycle as thanks for rescuing him.

Nimbasa City

In the south east of Nimbasa City, N will come and talk to you again. Asking you if you are looking for Team Plasma, he will lead you to the nearby amusement park saying they've been spotted there, indicating that you can get a better view from the top of the Ferris Wheel. While on the Ferris Wheel, N will tell you the truth, that he is the leader of Team Plasma and has been ordering Ghetsis to be the frontman for Team Plasma in order to get people to liberate their Pokémon. When you exit the Ferris Wheel, he will quickly challenge you.

Once you defeat him, he will say that he is going to become the strongest trainer, beating the Champion and will then be able to command everyone to liberate their Pokémon.

Driftveil City - Cold Storage

Your next encounter is within Driftveil City. When you enter, Cheren will tell you that he has heard rumblings that Team Plasma are somewhere within the city. Having looked around, you will soon find them to the south of the city in the Cold Storage where the sage, Zinzolin is plotting with many Plasma Grunts. Defeat the grunts and Clay will appear and have the Plasma members taken away.

When you reach the Gym, you will see that Clay is being confronted by Ghetsis and Zinzolin. Ghetsis says that they are only trying to liberate Pokémon from evil trainers but Clay doesn't care and orders them to leave the city, to which they comply.

Chargestone Cave

In Chargestone Cave, you will find that a group called Shadow Triad are waiting for you. Taking you downstairs, you will find that there are numerous Team Plasma grunts to battle. Fight through them and you'll learn that N was raised alongside Pokémon. At the end of the cave, you will find N and he will challenge you once more, claiming that he will befriend the legendary Pokémon and free all Pokémon around.

Mistralton City Gym

After you have defeated the Mistralton City Gym, N will appear again and will tell you that he can communicate with Pokémon more easily than most due to his upbringing and states that as Pokémon cannot lie, he will ask your Pokémon what they feel about you. Checking with your starter Pokémon, he states that you are trusted as a trainer and that all trainers should be like you, seeing Pokémon as friends. He claims that he will make everyone feel this way and tells you that Team Plasma are looking for the Light Stone & Dark Stone in order to awaken Reshiram & Zekrom.

Dragonspiral Tower

Later, after you have defeated the Icirrus City Gym, Shadow Triad will appear to you and will tell you that N is waiting for you in the Dragonspiral Tower. You, Brycen & Cheren will climb the tower, battling Team Plasma grunts along the way. There are numerous grunts for you to find and defeat so be sure to have a powerful team with you.

When you reach the top, you will see that N has awoken Zekrom/Reshiram (in Black/White respectively). He will tell you that the Pokémon will help him in his quest to become the strongest trainer and free all the Pokémon from trainers and get the world to be one where every person and Pokémon works in complete unity. He will fly off on the Pokémon.

Relic Castle

After N has flown off, you, Bianca, Cheren and Alder will talk about what to do next. Alder will say that the Light Stone/Dark Stone could be found at the Relic Castle and so he believes that Team Plasma are to be located there. Cheren & Alder go off ahead and you follow. In the Relic Castle, you will encounter the sage Ryoku who will tell you that you have been expected and that Ghetsis is awaiting you beneath. Fight through the grunts and you'll find Ghetsis and Alder in the basement. He will tell you that it's pointless to try and stop him from reviving the other Pokémon as the stone isn't within the ruins. He will leave and you can climb out of the castle. Head to Nacrene City and you'll receive the Light Stone/Dark Stone which was in the museum archives

When you travel through the Tubeline Bridge, you'll be stopped by Ghetsis who will say that he knows you have the stone but you wont be able to stop them from achieving their goals.

Opelucid City

When you get into Opelucid City, you will view another speech by Ghetsis. This speech follows the same patterns as before, but with more of a threat with Ghetsis threatening to use the dragon against them if they don't. As the people leave, they question whether or not to capitulate while Iris and Drayden, the Opelucid Gym Leaders state that he is misguided and will teach you the story of how the dragons came to be.

N's Castle

The next time you'll find Team Plasma is after you have defeated the Elite Four. When you enter the Champion's Room, you'll find that N is there already having already defeated Alder. N plans to live his dream and before long, the castle starts to grow and connects itself to the Poémon League building. N goes to the top and says for you to join him so you can battle and see whose ideals are right. As you enter the castle, you will find the six sages and as they attack you, the gym leaders of Unova all unite and occupy them while you travel through the castle.

Go through the castle and you'll learn that N has lived there as a child and that two girls, who claim to be goddesses, feel that N is very dangerous due to his naivity. As you continue to climb the castle, Shadow Triad will appear and guide you to N's room. N will say that if you're going to battle him, you will lose and calls upon Zekrom/Reshiram to assist. However, the Light Stone/Dark Stone starts to glow and Reshiram/Zekrom will appear for you to challenge. In order to progress, you have to capture it.

Once captured, N will heal your Pokémon and will challenge you to the battle saying that the Dragons have chosen their hero.

After you have defeated N, Ghetsis will appear and start off on an angry rant. He will say that he has been manipulating N the whole time and the liberation plan wasn't Team Plasma's plan at all, and that he was intending to have everyone free their Pokémon so that he would be the only person with Pokémon and could rule the region. Berating N, he then challenges you himself.

Once defeated, Ghetsis will be taken away by Cheren and Alder while N and you remain in the castle. N will discuss the situation saying that your dream was stronger and that perhaps you had the right way about you. He will leave on Zekrom/Reshiram to continue to find a way to follow his beliefs without forcing people to do what they don't wish.

Route 18 - Sage Rood

The first sage geographically is Rood. Rood is found within Route 18, right at the end. Talking with him, he'll give you some backstory into Team Plasma as Looker appears and takes him away. He will also give you TM32.

Dreamyard - Sage Gorm

Geographically, the next sage you'll find is in the Dreamyard. After you have battled through the trainers in the basement of the lot, you'll find Gorm. Like Rood, he'll tell you some more of how Team Plasma was formed and will give you TM75. Looker will soon appear and will arrest Gorm as well.

Relic Castle - Sage Ryoku

In the Relic Castle, a new area will have opened up. This area will take you to the new basement which contains a maze. Follow the maze through, and you'll find a Team Plasma grunt who quickly flees. Continue on and you'll find Ryoku in front of a doorway. Speak to him and you'll get even more backstory, TM04 and Looker will appear to arrest him

Cold Storage - Sage Zinzolin

In the container inside the Cold Storage, you'll find that the sage Zinzolin has taken up residence in isolation due to what he has done. Once more, you'll get some backstory into Team Plasma and Ghetsis. He will give you TM01 before he is taken away by Looker.

Chargestone Cave - Sage Bronius

Next, hidden well within the basement of the Chargestone Cave, you'll find the sage, Bronius. However, before you can properly talk with him, two Plasma Grunts come in to protect him and challenge you to a battle. Defeat them and Bronius will talk like the others to give Looker the information he needs. He'll give you TM69.

Route 14 - Sage Giallo

Finally, the next sage is in Route 14. You need both Surf and Waterfall in order to reach him. Once you reach him, he'll give you the final piece to the Team Plasma backstory and Looker will come and arrest him, thanking you for your assistance. He wil give you TM08 before being taken away
