Graveler

Graveler, The Rock Pokémon. It rolls down holes to move. It rolls over any obstacle without slowing or changing Direction. It plows through trees...anything. It does not mind if pieces break off it's hard shell when Rolling down Mountains. It walks slowly. If it gains too much speed, it stops by running into huge rocks. It grows by feeding on rocks. It prefers them when they are covered in Moss. It eats it's way through a ton of rocks daily.

Battle Moveset

A Good Moveset for Graveler would have to be this:

Attacks:

Earthquake
Rock Slide
Focus Punch
Explosion

Items Attached:

Choice Band

Preferred Nature:

Adamant

Strategy Using Graveler

Graveller is a rock/ground pokemon, a bad combination in some aspects, for example, it has 4x weakness to grass and its special defense is bad. Any good special sweeper with a grass or water move could OHKO it.
However, this is what many people consider using against it, so, when you think you're opponent is about to switch to a different pokemon, use focus punch and it will deal a swift blow to your opponent's switched out pokemon.
While Graveller is holding choice band it does limit what moves you can use, but, on the other hand it will power up Focus punch. You may want to drop choice band for a different item if you feel Choice band may hinder this pokemon's capabilities.
Adamant will benefit Graveller's attack strength and the EV's will also increase its attack strength. The EV's in Defense and HP are there to increase Graveller's ability to take more physical hits. For its ability, it really doesn't matter, Rock head is useless here since you're not using a move that gives recoil damage.
The other ability, Sturdy, is also useless unless you come up against a pokemon with a one hit KO attack. Although this moveset works better on Graveller's evolved form, it still works on this pokemon. Overall, this pokemon has its upsides, and downsides, just like most pokemon. It has poor speed and probably won't survive a decent special sweeper or special attack.

EV Corner:

Max out the EVs in Attack for Graveler with any remaining in HP & Defense

Strategy Against Graveler

Graveler's Special Defense is Low as opposed to it's Defense so if you hit with Special attacks or Super Effective ones such as Water or Grass...it'll be down in no time

Contest Moveset

A good Contest Moveset for Graveler would have to be this for the Beauty Contest best with Modest, Mild, Rash or Quiet Nature:

Attacks:

Sunny Day
Flamethrower
Fire Blast
Explosion

Items Attached:

Blue Scarf

Strategy Using Graveler

If you do the attacks in this following order you should have very few problems; 1st - Sunny day, 2nd - Flamethrower, 3rd - Sunny day, 4th - Fire blast, 5th - Explosion

Locations in Games

Ruby/Sapphire

Victory Roar

Colosseum

Trade from R/S/FR/LG

Animé Appearences

Graveler has had several Animé Appearences although many were Cameos. First Misty battled one owned by Gazelle at the Pokémon Tech School. After that one of the instructors used it in the Pokémon League Entrance Test and after that a trainer had it to help Swinub dig Hot Springs.
