Skarmory, The Armor Bird Pokémon. It's sturdy wings are actually light and hollow allowing it to freely fly in the sky. After nesting in bramble bushes, it's offspring grow tough wings from scratches by thorns. The feathers it sheds are sharps, it is said they used to be used as weapons. It is entirely encased in hard protective armor. It flies at almost 200MPH and slashes it's foes with it's wings. It's wings become tattered and bashed in from repeated battles. Once a year, the wings grow back completely.

Strategy Using Skarmory
Skarmory is by far one of the better spikers. This moveset is simple, lay three rounds of spikes and roar.
Drill peck is for the sake of a move that can do more damage and with stab its strength is boosted too. Toxic also makes Skarmory helpful as a Toxishuffler too. Although you could replace toxic with a different move, such as HP Ground, Counter or Substitute.
Skarmory has excellent defense and it would take some strong physical sweepers to bring it down. Your best hopes against this pokemon is to use its two weaknesses, fire and Electric.
The EV's are to give Skarmory a boost in its special defense, so it can take more special hits. Leftovers restores Skarmory's HP when it loses some.
Watch out for Magneton, which is probably the best pokemon to use against Skarmory. Magnet pull prevents Skarmory being withdrawn from battle and it wouldn't take many thunderbolts to knock out Skarmory, so watch out for those.
Overall, Skarmory, overused and is a good pokemon, excellent spiker and has little weaknesses.

Strategy Against Skarmory
Skarmory has High Defense and low Special Defense, so your best bet here is to attack with Special Attacks or Super Effective attacks such as Fire.

A good Contest Moveset for Skarmory would have to be this for the Cool Contest best with Lonely, Adament, Naughty or Brave Nature:
