Groudon

Groudon, The Continent Pokémon. It has long been described in Mythology as the Pokémon that raised land and expanded continents. It went to sleep after a clymatic battle with Kyogre. It has the power to scatter rainclouds and make water evaporate with light and heat. It came as a savior to places which had floods.

Battle Moveset

A Good Moveset for Groudon would have to be this:

Attacks:

Bulk Up
Earthquake
Overheat
Brick Break

Items Attached:

Liechi Berry

Preferred Nature:

Jolly

Strategy Using Groudon

Groudon, is somewhat considered weak compared to Kyogre for various reasons that will be explained at a future date. Groudon's greatest stats are Attack and defense, and so to go along with these two stats, Bulk up was included.
Earthquake is for STAB purposes and will be quite powerful when used by Groudon. Its other attacks are Brick break and Overheat, Brick break to take care of any Ice types that may be used against it.
Overheat will gain a 50% boost from Groudon's ability and should prove useful if you're fighting a grass type pokemon (although you may have trouble because those grass type pokemon that usually are sunnybeamers may have Chlorophyll and will probably attack before Groudon gets a chance to)
Even with the loss in special attack you get from overheat, you're still left with two physical moves to attack with.
You can drop Bulk up for another physical move, even without Bulk up, Groudon is still pretty powerful and might benefit from having an extra offensive attack at its disposal.
I really don't care for Groudon because of its stats and being a legendary, he's not really a challenge to train or even use.

EV Corner:

Max out the EVs in Attack & Speed for Groudon with any remaining in Defense

Strategy Against Groudon

Groudon' Defenses are above average but it's Special is lower so a Special Volley or a Grass/Water Volley should work.

Contest Moveset

A good Contest Moveset for Groudon would have to be this for the Tough Contest best with Impish, Lax, Relaxed or Bold Nature:

Attacks:

Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Fissure
Hyper Beam

Items Attached:

Yellow Scarf

Strategy Using Groudon

If you do the attacks in this following order you should have very few problems; 1st - Aerial ace, 2nd - Earthquake, 3rd - Fissure, 4th - Aerial ace, 5th - Hyper beam

Groudon has had a few Animé Appearences. First Team Magma were monitoring it, when later Butler created a Fake Groudon. All times after that were parts of the Legend.
