Pokémon Social Media Projects

Starting in November 2017, Pokémon started some social media projects focused around a single PokĂ©mon. These were different to the PokĂ©mon Local Acts where PokĂ©mon became mascots of areas in Japan and featured big promotion of the PokĂ©mon in order to do soft promotion for upcoming games.

With these Projects, it continually focused on merchandise, cards and events built around the PokĂ©mon, often with reveals and releases to go with them. They typically stopped after a year but continued to post elements on social media that feature that Pokémon if they were introduced in new merchandise
