Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO Community Day on March 23rd focusing on Treecko . This event will have quarter egg distance and has 3 Hour Lure Modules. However, it will also give out an as of yet unannounced special move to Sceptile. We'll bring more details as they come. As a change, this Community Day will now run at 3pm to 6pm local time with an extra hour to evolve to get the special move

The Special Raid Weekend for Latias has begun. From now until 21:00 UTC on March 1st, having been increased from the original plan of ending on February 25th, Latias will be appearing in Raid Battles as a Level 5 battle, alongside Palkia. With this event, Latias can now appear as its shiny variant
Edit @ 21:21: In addition to this, a new Event Box has gone live ahead of tomorrow's Clamperl Limited Research Day event. This box costs 480 Coins and gives 30 Ultra Balls, 3 Premium Raid Pass, 2 Incubators & 15 Pinap Berries

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon - Battle Competition

Battles for the next Battle Competition have begun. This is the 2019 International Challenge February competition. This is a Double Battle competition using standard 2019 VGC rules where players can use 2 Restricted Pokémon (Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala & Necrozma) and is based on the Moon Series where there are no Mega Evolutions, Primal Reversions or Ultra Necrozma allowed. This competition offers Championship Points to players outside of Japan and offers a chance to qualify to the Japan Championships inside Japan. All Pokémon will be raised to Level 50 for the duration of the competition.
Battles will run from February 22nd through February 24th.
All entrants who play 3 or more matches will get a Shiny Tapu Bulu which will be distributed some time in March

The dates for the Pokémon World Championships have been revealed. Following the reveal of its location at Washington D.C. last year, it has now been confirmed that it will run on August 16th through August 18th and take place at the Walter E Washington Convention Center
Edit @ 16:10: Official confirmation has also been made that the North American International Championships are to be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio from June 21st through June 23rd

The next special Group Match has been begun on Pokkén Tournament DX. From February 22nd through February 24th, you can participate in the "Forest's Flash" Group Match. This cup is a Team Battle competition, once again on a Fixed Battle Arena. Participating in this brings a special title reward based on Sceptile, and if you place highly you'll get other titles based on your placement. If you already received the title from the last time it ran, you will not receive it again

The next special Group Match has been announced on Pokkén Tournament DX. From March 8th through March 10th, you can participate in the "Destructive Cannon" Group Match. This cup is a Basic Battle competition, once again on a Fixed Battle Arena. Participating in this brings a special title reward based on Blastoise, and if you place highly you'll get other titles based on your placement. If you already received the title from the last time it ran, you will not receive it again
