During the Closing Ceremony of the World Championships, a special event was announced for attendees in PokémonGO. After the Closing Ceremony, all attendees in Anaheim would be able to battle against Eternamax Eternatus and complete Timed Research to get Eternatus early, ahead of the release at GO Fest Max Finale

During the Closing Ceremony of the World Championships, it was announced that in the Autumn of 2025, Pokémon TCG Pocket was to get an update that will add Mega Evolution Pokémon ex to the game. Like in the main Pokémon TCG, defeating them gives 3 Points

During the Closing Ceremony of the World Championships, the next three playable characters were officially revealed for Pokémon UNITE. Empoleon was revealed for September 19th, Dhelmise for October and Vaporeon for November. Alongside this, it was announced that Groudon would soon replace Rayquaza in Theia Sky Ruins starting on September 4th 2025

During the Closing Ceremony of the World Championships, several new Pokémon TCG cards were revealed featuring Mega Evolution Pokémon. This included the first cards from Japan's Inferno X set of Mega Charizard ex, Oricorio ex and more, before showing off a new style of Illustration card coming later in the year. During the Closing Ceremony of the World Championships, a brand new mode was revealed for the coming game, Pokémon Legends: Z-A. This mode is the Z-A Battle Club which allows up to 4 players to face against eachother in a 3 minute match to earn the most points by defeating eachother's Pokémon. It was confirmed this mode would also have a Ranked Mode

Immediately following the Z-A reveal, the trailer changed to one for Pokémon Champions. This trailer showcased various Mega Evolution Pokémon being used in game, including the new Mega Dragonite. It also confirmed that Pokémon Champions will be used as the played game for the 2026 Pokémon World Championships

To finish off the Closing Ceremony, it was revealed that the following year's event in San Francisco would be more than the Pokémon World Championships alone. This introduced the new event, PokémonXP which is a spin-off of the non-competitive activities of the World Championships and increased heavily. The two events will run in tandem in 2026 with tickets being available September 17th 2025. It also confirmed that like 2025, Championship Sunday would take place in an arena.

This distribution was given to players who attended the Pokémon World Championships in Honolulu and offered a code to redeem for a Toedscool based on the Toedscool seen in the key art for the championships

This distribution was given to players on the online stream for the TCG Championship and gave players a Illustration Rares for Tynamo, Eelektrik, Eelektross and the Ultra Rare Hilda and N's Plan cards through the code

This distribution was given to players with Twitch Drops activated and watching for over 30 minutes will give a code to get the Illustration rares for Deino, Zweilous, Hydreigon ex and Special Illustration Rares for Hilda and N's Plan

If you watch over 45 minutes of the Pokémon TCG stream on Twitch with Twitch Drops activated, you will get a code to redeem in Pokémon TCG Pocket for 12 Pack Hourglasses and 12 Wonder Hourglasses

With in the Pokémon GO World Championships stream on Twitch, if you had the stream active, you would be able to get rewards and this reward included Timed Research based on various Pokémon used in GO Battle League such as Skarmory. On August 16th you will get branched Timed Research to get choices between Lapras, Sableye, Lileep or Squirtle, Stunfisk, Inkay or Sentret, Paldean Wooper, Wimpod

If you watch any of the official Pokémon GO co-streamer streams for 30 minutes, you will get a different Timed Research that focuses on the Jersey Pikachu

During the Pokémon GO stream, a code will be given to obtain a special T-Shirt with the Pokémon 2025 World Championships artwork on it

If you are playing at the event, you will be able to spin a PokéStop in order to get a different T-Shirt, as well as obtain encounters with Pikachu

On Friday and Saturday, if you watch for 30 minutes you will get a Murkrow Emblem and a Rental License Select Box and if you watch for 60 minutes you get a jersey Random Box
On Sunday if you watch for 10 minutes you'll get the 500 Aeos Coins and a Rental License Select Box and if you atch for 30 minutes you'll get the Murkrow Platinum Emblem and a Gift Box including Unite License, Clothing and a Worlds Jersey

On the Friday and Sunday mornings, there will be a special showcase of the Toyota Miraidon Project creation of a working life size Miraidon bike.

As with all years, a pop-up Pokémon Center was open during the event. This Pokémon Center includes a lot of Pokémon Center merchandise but includes its own merchandise line themed around the motif involving Pokémon underwater
