Mushroom Kingdom U is a stage that has multiple different parts. You start off in one based on Acorn Plains of the New Super Mario Bros. series where you're on a grass platform with several platforms above it. From time to time, some blocks will appear that can act as further platforms.

The next part is based on Rock Candy Mines and has the match be on a rock being held up by a small pillar. As you move on the rock, it will tilt in the way with the most weight. On occasion, some geysers will shoot up, often with Mega Urchins on that can do a lot of damage.

The next part is based on Slide Lift Tower and provides two platforms upon which you can fight. These platforms will move around, clockwise, causing them to interact sometimes and lose surface area, meaning you have to shift to the next platform or risk falling off.

The final part is based on Meringue Clouds. This part of the stage has you battling on a cloudy surface. A beanstalk may crop up in the background to provide various other platforms to battle upon

Throughout the stage, Nabbit may appear. Nabbit is treated like another character so can be attacked and suffers the effects of items. However, if he manages to grab a player, he will shoot off to the top and cause the player to lose a life
