During the PokémonXP panel about the game, it was revealed that PokĂ©mon TCG Pocket would soon receive an update which would add the first Dual-type cards into the game, showcasing Mega Mewtwo X ex with both Psychic and Fighting-type. It also revealed some more Pokémon ex coming soon including Fuecoco ex and Piplup ex. No further details were revealed

During the PokémonXP panel about the sets, some new LEGO Pokémon Smart Play sets were revealed for 2027. These included silhouettes of Pichu, Grookey, Mankey, Wingull and Charcadet

Following the Pokémon UNITE Finals on Championship Sunday, the next collection of 4 playable Pokémon were revealed in a trailer. This confirmed that Morpeko was to be available from September 4th, Toxtricity from September 24th and Flareon & Jolteon in October

During the Closing Ceremony, the Pokémon TCG news was revealed. This trailer started off showcasing the Mega Lucario Z card that will come in an imminent set, as well as some Mega Art Rare cards for Mega Darkrai ex, Mega Rayquaza ex, Mega Greninja ex and Mega Zygarde ex
Following that, it showcased a tease featuring Raikou, Entei and Suicune culiminating in the reveal of a coming new mechanic, Pokémon ex☆

During the Closing Ceremony, a special trailer followed the TCG reveal. This was the first trailer for the 26th Pokémon movie, the first in 7 years, called Pokémon Wild Card which follows the story of a TCG player and his Mimikyu. It is due for release in 2027 and beyond

During the Closing Ceremony, a trailer was released for Pokémon GO that revealed that certain mega Evolved Pokémon would have their special Mega Evolution move in battles if their Mega level has been unlocked. It also revealed the return of Armored Mewtwo for the Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Mega Finale event and that the event was starting early for attendees of the World Championships and PokémonXP in San Francisco

During the Closing Ceremony, a trailer was released for Pokémon Champions that confirmed that Z-Mega Evolutions were coming to Pokémon Champions soon. It revealed Mega Lucario Z and Mega Absol Z, with Mega Garchomp Z being revealed for it shortly after on social media with their abilities of Aura Guard, Sharpness and Levitate respectively. The trailer ended with a tease of Mega Heatran coming soon

To finish off the closing Ceremony, it was confirmed that the 2027 Pokémon World Championships would once again by a standalone event taking place in Singapore from August 13th through 15th 2027. It will be located at the Singapore EXPO building, with Championship Sunday taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium

The day before the World Championships at Oracle Park, the San Francisco giants will be playing a special Baseball game where it is Worlds Night. This event will be filled with special activations i Pokémon GO, offer a special jersey to those who bought a ticket and finish with a new Drone Show

As with all years, a pop-up Pokémon Center was open during the event. This Pokémon Center includes a lot of Pokémon Center merchandise but includes its own merchandise line themed around the motif for both the World Championships and PokémonXP. Badged entry was required to enter the Pokémon Center
