Pokémon Sword & Shield - VGC Ruleset

The ruleset for Series 5 of Ranked Battle has been announced. This ruleset continues the addition of available Gigantamax Pokémon and now allows all presently available Gigantamax. This will run from July 1st at 04:00 UTC to August 30th at 23:59 UTC:
Pokémon Restrictions: Galar Pokédex, Isle of Armor Pokédex, Alola Starters, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion. Require Galar Mark or Battle Ready Mark
Pokémon Limits: Team of 3 to 6 Pokémon (Singles) / 4 to 6 Pokémon (Doubles) from Level 1 to Level 100. All Pokémon then set to Level 50
Match Length: No limit
Allowed Gigantamax: Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Butterfree, Pikachu, Meowth, Machamp, Gengar, Kingler, Lapras, Eevee, Snorlax, Garbodor, Rillaboom, Cinderace, Inteleon, Corviknight, Orbeetle, Drednaw, Coalossal, Flapple, Appletun, Sandaconda, Toxtricity, Centiskorch, Hatterene, Grimmsnarl, Alcremie, Copperajah, Duraludon, Urshifu
Banned Pokémon: Mewtwo, Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna, Marshadow, Zeraora, Meltan, Melmetal, Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus
Battle Time: 20 Minutes
Your Time: 7 Minutes
Team Preview: 90 Seconds
Turn Time: 45 Seconds
The rules can now be downloaded from the Battle Stadium. We have also updated our Ranked Battle section with Series 5, though rewards have yet to be announced.

Following its reveal last week, Pokémon Café Mix is now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop, iOS and Android. As such, our coverage is beginning. We'll be posting details over the coming days as we play through with pages being made periodicially so be sure to keep checking back

Niantic have announced the first details for the Pokémno GO Fest lead-in events.
Week 1's event runs from July 3rd at 08:00 to July 8th at 22:00 local time. It is focused on Skill and coincides with Pokémon GO's fourth anniversary. and will feature Timed Research which will include Ducklett, Flying Pikachu and more. It adds Ducklett and Swanna, as well as a Pikachu that can know Fly. It also makes shiny Pidove available. If 1 million Valor players complete the research, Chansey will be in available in GO Fest. If 1 million Mystic players complete the research, Alomomola will be in available in GO Fest. If 1 million Instinct players complete the research, Chimecho will be in available in GO Fest. Flying-type Pokémon and Party hat Pokémon will be in the wild, eggs and raids. The Jump-start Research will also return.
From July 3rd 08:00 local time to July 6th 22:00 local time, Ho-Oh will be appearing more in Raid Battles for a special Raid Weekend.

Week 2's event runs from July 10th at 08:00 to July 15th at 22:00 local time ands is focused on Battles. It includes Timed Research featuring Hitmonlee, a Super Rocket Radar and more. If 1 million Valor players complete the research, Alolan Marowak will be in available in GO Fest. If 1 million Mystic players complete the research, Alolan Grimer will be in available in GO Fest. If 1 million Instinct players complete the research, Ferroseed will be in available in GO Fest. If you complete the research you'll gain access to the GO Fest Elite Battle Challenge, a set of tasks for bragging rights
On July 12th from 11:00 to 14:00 local time, there will be a Battle themed event

Week 3's event runs from July 17th at 08:00 local time to July 22nd 22:00 local time and is focused on friendship. It will have Timed Research that includes an encounter with Alolan Raichu and Petilil, with Petilil being added to the game. Summer themed Pokémon will appear in the wild, eggs and raids with Shiny Bellsprout being available. Summer Style Pikachu will also return. If 1 million Valor players complete the research, Litwick will be in available in GO Fest. If 1 million Mystic players complete the research, Dratini will be in available in GO Fest. If 1 million Instinct players complete the research, Togetic will be in available in GO Fest.

The next update for Pokémon Masters has been released. This update contains data for new Sync Pairs including Jessie, Lucy, Morty & Serena but also a variety of features:
It has added the Egg Feature and Egg Research Items. Eggs currently can include Tauros, Meowth, Bellsprout, Nidoran Female, Zubat and Rattata. Presently only Tauros can be Shiny
You need an Egg Box to put Eggs in and an Incubator to hatch them. When hatched Pokémon from eggs are set to daycare but you can then select them to be your partner. If you donate the Pokémon hatching from eggs to Professor Bellis, you can get an Egg Research Ticket. Hatching egg is based on time but you also need to battle to fill up the Egg Gauge. You get eggs at random for beating stages
Move Gauge's initial slot is now 6
You can now team up with a sync pair from a set pool after completing an area..
