Altaria

Altaria at Volcano Altaria can be found at the start of hte stage in all Leevels. It will be flying around or sitting in the hot springs. It will start dancing if you turn the Melody on. In Volcano (Level 1), after the Luxray scare the Altaria away, throw some Fluffruit into the small Hotsprings to release some steam to make Altaria happy. Take a photo for a 4 star photo
Minimum Research Level: Research Level 1

Luxray

Luxray at Volcano Luxray appears through multiple parts of the stage. At the start a couple will be roaming the hot springs. In Level 3, one of the Luxray needs to be reunited with a Shinx for a good photo opportunity. In Level 3, reunite the Shinx and Luxray in the first area. Then, as you enter the canyon, throw a Fluffruit at the Tyrantrum that is chasing Archeops. The Luxray will come in to your rescue and face down the Tyrantrum. If you hit the far Luxray with an Illumina Orb, it will use Discharge for a 4 Star PhotoIn the standard path, you will find another just sitting on a rock. Hit it with Illumina Orbs to light its eyes up.

In the Blue Magma path, you will find another far away in the volcano crevice. If you hit it with Illumina Orbs, it will find Vivillon

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 1

Archeops

Archeops at Volcano Archeops has got a few appearances throughout the stage. In Level 1 and beyond, you can find it in the main craters flying around. In Level 2 onwards, you will see it in the valley area being chased by other Archeops or Tyrantrum. You can also spot one with a Charmander.

In the Blue Magma path, you will see some Archeops flying overhead when Ho-Oh is flying through

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 1

Graveler

Graveler at Volcano Graveler can be found in a couple of areas. First it will be on the walls of various parts of the internal parts of the volcano. In the final part, if you knock it down, it will then roll down and hit the ruins.

In the Blue Magma cave path, you will see one hanging on above a molten rock. Knock it down for a big impact. Another can be found near the blue magma drop staring at it. If you throw a Fluffruit at it, it will roll away

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 1

Aerodactyl

Aerodactyl at Volcano Aerodactyl can be found in a couple of areas. First it is found in the valley area sitting on parts of the rocks. Otherwise it is flying around the area. In Level 2, you can get it to land by throwing Fluffruit at the Typhlosion in the final area. There, you can get it to eat a Fluffruit for a 4 star picture

Another can be found as you hit the crossroads in the path flying around the rockfaces

Slugma

Slugma at Volcano Slugma can be found in the internal parts of the Volcano. On the standard path, you can find Slugma climbing the walls and down the lava. If you can lure it, you can even get a picture of Slugma climbing up a lavafall.

In the Blue Magma path, you can find it in the Blue Magma room, and it'll be happy when you light it up with the Crystablooms

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 1

Tyrantrum

Tyrantrum at Volcano Tyrantrum can be found in a couple of places. First in the valley, you will see it chasing other Pokémon and fighting with itself or Monferno. If you interrupt its hunt, it will start chasing you. Getting a picture of it roaring will give you a high quality image

In Level 2, Tyrantrum will be blocking the standard path by sleeping.

In Level 3, a Tyrantrum can be found in the standard path having a fight with a Charizard

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 1

Monferno

Monferno at Volcano Monferno can be found in a variety of parts of the stage. In the early part of the stage, they will be in the rocks and taunt the Aerodactyl and Tyrantrum. When you get inside the cave, you will find a pair playing and climbing the walls.

In the Blue Magma path, you will see a couple of Monferno on the ramps up out of the volcano crater towards the end

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 1

Charmander

Charmander at Volcano Charmander can be found throughout the stage. First there is a Charmander playing hide and seek in the immediate right of where you start and can be lured out with Fluffruit, Shinx will also sometimes join it.

Later on, you will find one talking to an Archeops in Level 3, throw an Illumina Orb to get it to do its 4 star animation. Inside the cave, you will see a couple more Charmander in the chamber with Tyrantrum and Charizard.

in the Blue Magma path, you will find two Charmander in the magma rock crater as you approach the Blue Magma chamber and they will run away if you knock Graveler down. Another will be in the Blue Magma chamber

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 1

Shinx

Shinx at Volcano Shinx can be found at the start of the stage in Level 2 in a pair. In Level 3, a Shinx is lost in the same area. You can lead it to the nearby Luxray with Fluffruit for a good photograph. If you do reunite them, you will see them together at the end of the Blue Magma cave. In Level 3, reunite the Shinx and Luxray in the first area. Then, as you enter the canyon, throw a Fluffruit at the Tyrantrum that is chasing Archeops. The Luxray will come in to your rescue and face down the Tyrantrum.

In the Blue Magma path, you can find a Shinx next to the Graveler in Level 2 or sleeping with a Flareon in Level 3. They can be adjusted and made happy with the Crystablooms

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 2

Talonflame

Talonflame at Volcano Talonflame starts to appear in Level 2 and flies around the outside area, sometimes landing. In Level 3, more Talonflame will appear and fly closer to the camera. When the two Tyrantrum start fighting, Talonflame will screech at them then fly away. Grab the screech for a 3 Star shot. If you can get it grab a Fluffruit, that is a 4 star shot. Another Talonflame is seen in the standard path inside the cave
Minimum Research Level: Research Level 2

Typhlosion

Typhlosion at Volcano Typhlosion can be found in the Blue Magma path. A pair of them will be at the bottom of the crater and can be given Fluffruit and Illumina Orbs to get them to use Flamethrower on the Fluffruit for a 4 star photo. If you have lured Charizard to the area, then it will have a fight for a 3 star photo

Another can be found at the start in Level 3 and will chase an Archeops away. Hit Typhlosion with a Fluffruit at the start of a stage. Then, shortly after, see it interacting with an Aerodactyl. Throw an Illumina Orb to get it to use Eruption for a 4 star photo

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 2

Torkoal

Torkoal at Volcano Torkoal can be found starting Level 2. It is found sleeping in the Blue Magma cavern and can be woken up with the Illumina Orb. One will be sleeping on top of a Rainbow Wing if you took a photo of Ho-Oh.

In the standard path, another Torkoal can be found sleeping in the main chamber and if you are quick, you can get a picture of it on its hind legs

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 2

Flareon

Flareon at Volcano Flareon can be found within the Blu Magma cavern part of the cave after you reach Level 3. There will be two Flareon within the cave, one sleeping with a Shinx and another who will jump in to shot immediately. They can be lured to eachother to get a good picture of them releasing their flames. Another Flareon can be seen on the standard path sleeping in the cavern where Tyrantrum and Charizard are fighting
Minimum Research Level: Research Level 3

Charizard

Charizard at Volcano Charizard can be found within the main structure towards the end of the stage. It will be fighting with a Tyrantrum and constantly flying around. If you get a picture of it roaring, it'll be a four star photograph while it flying around will be lower stars

If you Illumina orb the three Charmander on the way into the volcano, one at the start, one by the Crystabloom and one with Archeops, then get to the Blue Magma Path. Throw Illumina Orbs at both Charmander and then knock the Graveler down for a Charizard to appear, which is a 4 star photo. It will fly off into the main chamber where it will fly around. When it lands, Illumina Orb it for a Flamethrower 4 star photo. It will also then fight with Typhlosion or, if you scare the Typhlosion away, it will be around to roar for a 3 star photo

Minimum Research Level: Research Level 2

Vivillon (High Plains Pattern)

Vivillon (High Plains Pattern) at Volcano Vivillon's High Plains pattern is a tricky one to get. In order to get this to appear, you need to go down the Blue Magma path. When at the final bit, you will see a Luxray on the far side of the volcano. If you can throw an Illumina Orb at it, it will start looking for something and then run off. Two Vivillon will then fly in at a distance. If you feed the Typhlosion and they run off, then a High Plains Vivillon will fly through the ruins

Ho-Oh

Ho-Oh at Volcano Ho-Oh will appear in the skies at the start of the level. If you take a photo of it, then continue the course through the right hand Blue Magma part of the stage. Along the stage you will find three Rainbow Wings. One will be in the left side of the tunnel that has Graveler and the crater, another under a sleeping Torkoal and another in the Blue Magma chamber. Throw Illumina Orbs at all three and, at the end, Ho-Oh will appear. If you hit 2 wings, then it will just fly up, but if you hit all 3 it will descend and start flying around, activated for the special 4 star shots

Crystabloom Locations

That's a Voluca Island crystabloom. Even in such a hot, dry environment, they bloom bright and vibrant as ever. They also seem to have properties similar to those found in minerals.

You can find this Crystabloom in the canyon area. In early Levels you can light it to power up a Monferno

You can find this Crystabloom in the canyon area to the right. A Charmander is by it and will pose for a special shot. Sometimes, Ho-Oh will fly overhead

Crystabloom 3

You can find this Crystabloom in the volcano area above Tyrantrum. Activate it and throw Fluffruit towards the end to finish the game of Hide & Seek with Charmander
