In Pokémon Champions, you can't catch your own Pokémon and while you can bring in Pokémon you've played with via Pokémon HOME, you can recruit Pokémon in the game. However, training is a different matter in this game In Pokémon Champions, you can fully customise your Pokémon's stats, moves and abilities via a menu. To do this, you need to spend Victory Points, a currency obtained by playing through the game. |

The menus allow for you to adjust the Pokémon at will. While there seems to be no IV adjustment, you can change everything else about the Pokémon with different costs for each thing.
