As with all new Pokémon generations, Pokémon Sword & Shield rebalances moves, stats and in the case of Pokémon Sword & Shield, Abilities. Click their names to go to the Ability page for it.

Name Description Addition
Disguise Once per battle, the shroud that covers the Pokémon can protect it from an attack. Causes 1/8th Max Hit Point damage to the user when the disguise breaks
Flash Fire Powers up the Pokémon's Fire-type moves if it's hit by one. Increases chance of encountering Fire-type Pokémon when lead in the party
Harvest The Pokémon has a 50% chance of restoring a consumed berry. During sunshine, this chance increases to 100% Increases chance of encountering Grass-type Pokémon when lead in the party
Infiltrator The protections and stat boosts caused by the moves Substitute, Reflect, Light Screen and Safeguard by the opponent are ignored. Reduces the amount of Wild Pokémon encounters when lead in the party
Inner Focus This Pokémon will not flinch. Does not prevent flinching with Focus Punch. Blocks Intimidate
Lightning Rod Electric-type moves are drawn to this Pokémon. Electric-type moves will do no damage and the Pokémon's SP ATK is raised one stage. Increases chance of encountering Electric-type Pokémon when lead in the party
Moody Raises one stat sharply and lowers another every turn. No longer affects Evasion or Accuracy stats
Oblivious The Pokémon is oblivious, and that keeps it from being infatuated or falling for taunts. Blocks Intimidate
Own Tempo The Pokémon cannot be Confused while having this ability. Blocks Intimidate
Rattled Dark-, Ghost-, and Bug-type moves scare the Pokémon and boost its Speed stat. Activates when the opponent's Intimidate ability activates
Scrappy Allows the Pokémon to hit Ghost-type Pokémon with Normal-type and Fighting-type moves. Blocks Intimidate
Storm Drain Water-type moves are drawn to this Pokémon. Water-type moves will do no damage and the Pokémon's SP ATK is raised one stage Increases chance of encountering Water-type Pokémon when lead in the party
Super Luck Raises the critical-hit ratio of moves by one level. If the Pokémon is in the lead spot, chance of encountering a wild Pokémon holding an item increases.
Synchronize When this Pokémon becomes Poisoned, Paralyzed, or Burned, so does the opponent. However, Fire-type and Water Veil ability Pokémon cannot be Burned, Poison-type and Steel-type and Immunity ability Pokémon cannot be Poisoned, and Limber ability Pokémon cannot be Paralyzed. If the Pokémon is in the lead spot, chance of encountering a wild Pokémon with the same nature is now guaranteed
