Backup Save Data

In the game, it is sometimes possible, perhaps due to glitch or otherwise, to end up stuck in an area and unable to remove yourself from it causing you to be stuck permanently. However, there is a way around this. In this game, you have the ability to revert your save data to a prior save. This will load up the save before the last save you did so y

Go to the game title screen
Press Up, X & B together
Select "Start with your backup data"

This will load up your previous save which in theory should bring you back to the prior save. This will then allow you to overwrite your original save as you progress from it.

Trading Pokémon automatically overwrites this backup data.
