Hyperspace Lumiose

In the Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension storyline, you get to enter Hyperspace Lumiose. This gives you small pockets of the subconscious driven world that is Hyperspace Lumiose. To get in, you need to have a Donut created by Ansha and Hoopa in Hotel Z. Based on the strength of the donut and the star rating for the zone, you have a certain amount of time in the zone before Hoopa pulls you back to Lumiose City

There are multiple different types of Hyperspace Lumiose portal, and each of them has a five star rating for difficulty and level.

Star Rating Recommended Level
1 StarLevel 105
2 StarLevel 120
3 StarLevel 140
4 StarLevel 170
5 StarLevel 200

In Hyperspace Lumiose, you will find various Poké Balls and hidden items throughout the locale, but the main focus of the location varies depending on the type of portal. Each of the zones has got a specific type or set of types that the Pokémon within focus upon. When you enter, you will also get special tasks that will go towards your Hyperspace Survey points to get through the story or unlock Scanning

The tasks within will give different points and have different requirements based upon the Star rating of the Hyperspace Zone and after you have completed all the tasks in this journey, a special Bonus Ball full of rarer items including Hyperspace Berries will appear somewhere within the area.

For a look at all the possible Wild Zone spawns, check the pages below. These display all the single-typed zones. Multiple type zones combine several together and take the spawn clusters for the associated Pokémon in that other type's equivalent zone. For example, if a Ghost and Normal Zone appears, it could spawn Lampent and Litwick in Slots 1 and 3, and then the Porygon spawns from the Normal table. The order they are displayed may also change.

Hyperspace Rogue Mega Arena

After you have defeated the main story and beaten Darkrai, the Hyperspace Rogue Mega Arenas will appear. These offer rematches of Rogue Mega Pokémon battles, but with a difference; these battles are at Level 200. This makes the battles harder, especially as there's a time limit due to entering the Hyperspace Zone. Like with the main story battles, sometimes they will drop an energy ball that freezes the countdown.

Hyperspace Battle Zone Image

Unknown Areas

There are also unknown areas accessed through portals. These typically tie in with Side Missions or provide new Mega Stones. Each one is different and unique with some offering story or others just offering a battle with a Mega Evolution Pokémon or more.

Scanned Areas

After completing Side Mission 188, you have the ability to scan for special areas every 25,000 points by talking to Philippe in the Rust Syndicate offices. While these often will provide a 5 Star Battle Zone, they will periodically offer a 5 Star unknown area. This area will be a wide open area that features a Legendary or Mythical Pokémon to find and catch

Latias, Latios, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Keldeo and Meloetta are found in this
