The Pokémon GO Community Day is rolling out globally. For three hours in each region, Grookey will appear, en masse, in Pokémon GO and adding its Shiny into the game. During this event, when you evolve into Rillaboom, it will know the move Frenzy Plant, which is exclusive to this event, alongside the introduction of Drum Beating. This coincides with 3* Catch Starduust , 2* Catch Candy, 3 hour Incense and more. This runs at these times:

The "Art Agony, Teacher's Tears" Academy Event has begun a run in Pokémon Masters EX. This event is the latest Academy Event where you get given a Sync Pair, in this case Kris (Academy) & Igglybuff, and have to battle through stages to earn Orbs in order to power them up. It runs until February 2nd
To tie in with that, a new EX Fair Scout is available to get the Sync Pair of Brassius & Sudowoodo (Tera: Grass). A second EX Fair Scout is also live to get Hassel & Baxcalibur.

One new piece of Holowear is also now live in the Treasure Chest Challenge. This is the Oasis Style for Inteleon. It has full animations for everything

A special Gift With Purchase of the Kanto Region Badge Collection, a 312 piece set, will be available in the LEGO store and online as well as on the Pokémon Center website when you purchase the Venusaur, Charizard & Blastoise set.

The newest Raid Day is rolling out in Pokémon GO. For three hours in each region, Reshiram, Zekrom, Black Kyurem and White Kyurem will appear in Raids on each Gym in the area, rotating every 30 minutes.
With this, you will get up to 5 extra Raid Passes from Gyms and can participate in up to 20 Remote Raid a day. You will also have a higher chance of finding shiny Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem after completion of the raid.
A paid ticket is also available that gives increased experience as well as another 8 additional free Raid Passes from Gyms.
It runs from 2pm to 5pm in your local time.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A's Ranked Battle Season 4 has begun. This season is the fifth for the Z-A Battle Club and features battles to get rewards by earning points in the battle, and allows for use of Mythical Pokémon and certain Legendary Pokémon. This season will run until January 29th at 05:59 UTC
Players who reach Rank Y to V will get the prior Mega Stones from Ranked Battle while reaching Rank S will give the Sceptilite, which adds Mega Sceptile into the game.

Further details have been revealed for the Pokémon x Natural History Museum. It has been confirmed that this collaboration is themed around the Pokécology book with merchandise that matches. The merchandise will be available in the shop, limit of 1 of each item per customer and no more than 5 items per customer, and then a select selection will be available from the Natural History Musejm's website at 12pm on Monday January 26th. Some of the lines will also be available on the Pokémon Center website in early February.
Alongside that, a Jumbo promo card will be given to all people who make a purchase at the special pop-up. Alongside this, the card will be available for people in the UK at various retailers from January 30th

The next 7 Star Tera Raid Battle event has been announced for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This event features a series of the First Partner Pokémon from various regions coming back into 7 Star Raids. The events will run weekly starting January 9th 2026 with the Ground Tera Type Venusaur. This will run until January 15th 2026 at 23:59 UTC and the next one will start immediately afterwards. If you previously caught them when they first ran, you will be unable to catch them again

Pokémon Europe International Championships - Merchandise Reveal
The Pokémon Company International has revealed a number of pieces of merchandise for the Pokémon Center that will be at the Europe International Championships in London, UK next month. For the first time, a special plush will be available featuring Pikachu in a Mega Evolution hat alongside a display for a Pokémon TCG card. Alongside this, Mega Evolution themed clothing and apparel have also been revealed
Details on the opening of slots for the Pokémon Center will come at a later point. We'll provide full details as they come

The next Pokémon GO event has been announced. This is the High Zaptitude event and is due to run January 13th at 10:00 to January 18th at 20:00 local time and adds Wattrel & Kilowattrel into the game alongside Shiny Tadbulb & Shiny Bellibolt
This event features increased chance of hatching Shiny Tadbulb
There will be a Global Challenge throughout the event based on exploring to unlock rewards. Level 1 unlocks 2* Catch Experience, Level 2 unlocks 2* Catch Stardust and the introduction of Wattrel into the game and Level 3 gives 2* Hatch Experience and 2* Hatch Stardust
Chinchou, Helioptile, Tadbulb, Shinx and more will spawn in the wild
Pichu, Elekid, Toxel and Tadbulb will be in 2km Eggs
There will be paid Timed Research which gives the bonus of 50% Incubator distance as well as 1 Incubator, 1 Super Incubator, encounters with Tadbulb and more

The next Pokémon GO event is rolling out in Asia Pacific regions. This event is the Pinch Perfect Event event which runs from 10:00 local time on January 6th through 20:00 local time on January 11th and adds Klawf into the game

The Pokémon GO Pass: December has started rolling out.. This will run from January 6th at 10:00 local time through February 2nd 2026. As before, a free track is available for all players who gain access, or you can purchase to get even more rewards
The Pass will include encounters with Pokémon like Dialga, as well as Stardust, Candy, Poké Balls, and if you purchase then you'll get a Lucky Trinket.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Ranked Battle Season 38 has begun. This season features a return to the Regulation I format. This format allows for you to use two Restricted Pokémon.
Alongside this, as Season 37 is now over, the rewards are able to be collected for all players
