XTransceiver

The Xtransceiver is part of the C-Gear and was introduced in Pokémon Black & White. It makes a return in Pokémon Black 2 & White 2, but with some added features. First, it retains the ability to make video chats on Nintendo DSi, DSi XL and 3DS systems. However, it now also includes multiplayer mini-games that you can play with your friends. You can also call various characters in the game.

Balloon Catch
US Name: Balloon Catch
Japanese Name: Balloon Catch

The first mini-game is Balloon Catch. In this game, you need to catch the balloons with your face on them, or the face of an in-game character if not using your own. If you catch the balloon, you will receive points. However, if you catch the balloon with a face of another character on it, you will lose points.

Balloon Smash
US Name: Balloon Boom
Japanese Name: Balloon Smash

The second mini-game is Balloon Smash. In this game, you need to inflate the balloon gradually with a friend in a rhythm on the touch screen going from left to right. Your task is to get the balloon to be the biggest without bursting it.

Happiness & Effort Values

Location: Everywhere

If you call up Bianca on the Xtransceiver, she will offer you the opportunity to check to see the Happiness of your Pokémon. She will give statements based on how happy they are and will offer tips to improve it. In addition to that, she also provides a function of checking for Effort Values and letting you know if you have filled them

If you call up Cheren on the Xtransceiver, he will offer you tips on what your Pokémon are weak to, their moves and their abilities.
Legendary Locations

Location: Everywhere

If you call up your RIval on the Xtransceiver, he will tell you the locations of some weird places which end up being the locations of various Legendary Pokémon.
Special Trades

Location: Varied

You first need to find the Dropped Item in Nimbasa City. From there, you will be called when you enter random areas by the owner of the item. After the 10th call, the person will call you and tell you to meet in Nimbasa to return their Item. When you do, they will be added to your Xtransceiver. Call them to total 30 times, but you can only call from places which fulfill the conditions. On the 30th call they'll tell you they want to meet at Nimbasa City where they'll ride the Ferris Wheel with you. Call them to total 50 times, in the 40th call they'll be 'SOUND ONLY', in the 50th call they'll be wearing their work clothes, and cut the line in a second or so. Call them a 51st time. wait a day and then call them again and they'll meet you in Nimbasa City and offer to trade, willing to have any Pokémon. This can be repeated each day to go through all of their Pokémon. The Pokémon you receive varies based on your gender

  • Near the Officer in Route 16
  • Behind the fence on the bottom of Route 5
  • Somewhere near the slope to Clay Tunnel in Driftveil City
  • Across the first bridge and near the ledges of Route 6
  • Around the stairs near the Breeder in Route 7
  • On the Airstrip of Mistralton City
  • Route 9 near the Hidden Grotto
  • Lentimas Town near the stairs.
  • Undella Town between 2 rocks
  • On the beach in Route 13 near the start from Undella Town which is behind the ledge
