Legendary Pokémon

Like the other games, there are a few Legendary Pokémon and Mythical Pokémon to be found within the Hisui region. These Pokémon are tied to the region and often require you to participate in requests in order to get them

Dialga / Palkia

Location: Temple of Sinnoh

Dialga & Palkia are obtained as part of the climax for the story. When the sky goes weird and you have taken the quest to find the Red Chain, you will find yourself choosing between Adaman and Irida, with the choice determining which Legendary Pokémon you get first; Adaman gets you Dialga and Irida gets you Palkia

They will appear in the Temple of Sinnoh and be wanting to be caught. Catch it and the next phase begins as the other Legendary Pokémon breaks through. You'll go to create an Origin Ball to hold it and when you return, it will have changed form to its Origin Forme. Defeat it as a battle with balms, where it will send down Draco Meteor for you to dodge and the occasional shockwave and you'll automatically catch it with the Origin Ball.

However, unless you have caught every other Pokémon in the region, you cannot continue on.

Return with your Pokédex complete (except for Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus), and you will be able to challenge Arceus. You will get taken up to the Hall of Origin for one final frenzied battle.

You will get given Mysterious Balm, converted from your Arc Phone, and you will need to throw it at Arceus to get to the battle. There are several phases of attack. First is sending a batch of homing minor energy bolts at you which need rapid dodging. Another is a blue shockwave followed by a meteor strike. Finally there's big waves of energy that envelop most of the arena. You can also throw a ball to battle Arceus to have an opening for the balm. After you have defeated it, you will be given a piece of Arceus and its Legend Plate.
