Photos & Emotes

At any point, you can take a camera out with the Down Button and take photos. This allows for you to look in a first person view in order to take photos of anything you see. With your Pokémon out, you can take pictures alongside your Pokémon.

As of Version 2.0.1, you can also play different kinds of music that can get your Pokémon to react in various ways to the music. There's the happy music, angry music which is a Wild Pokémon Battle Theme and a Sleepy music.

If you are in the Union Circle, you can share the photos you take with your friends and it will save on the Nintendo Switch.

At any point, you can also take a Selfie with the Rotom Camera. This can be done close up, or if have gone to Kitakami, you can be more zoomed out using the Roto-Stick. This will allow for your character to also be in any photo that you take. With this, there are a few different emotes that you can use

This can be done for both your Profile photo and the Profile Icon used for various online play.

When not in photo mode, but when playing with other people, you can also use these emotes for their photos or just to alert them. There are multiple different emotes that you can use here, with more unlocking in Kitakami for completing a variety of tasks

This can be done for both your Profile photo and the Profile Icon used for various online play.

When you get into the League Club in the Blueberry Academy, you gain ther option to buy some special photo effects. These effects are basically animated borders that go around your camera screen as you are taking photos.

You can buy these in three separate batches at the League Club and, when purchased, you can apply them to any photo.

Another option that you get in the League Club is the ability to Touch Up your photo. This basically takes the photo that you have taken and applies one of two different styles to it. This will take a little bit of time as it processes.

Once done, you can save the image to your Nintendo Switch.
