Today is Day 1 of the Pokémon 2025 World Championships. Today features battles for all four of the games in the current Play! Pokémon Circuit: TCG, GO, UNITE and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. All four games will be streamed in individual streams
All streams begin at 17:00 (BST) / 12:00 (EDT) / 09:00 (PDT) alongside the opening ceremony

Slakoth in a visor and Tatsugiri will be in 1 Star Raids
Alolan Raichu, Alolan Marowak and Dondozo will be in 3 Star Raids
There will be paid Timed Research for $5 that gives 4000 XP, 3000 Stardust, a Pinap Berry Bag and more.

The newest Raid Day is rolling out in Pokémon GO. For three hours in each region, Origin Forme Dialga and Origin Forme Palkia will appear in 5 Star Raids on each Gym in the area.
With this, you will get up to 5 extra Raid Passes from Gyms and can participate in up to 20 Remote Raid a day. You will also have a higher chance of finding shiny Dialga and Palkia after completion of the raid.
Dialga caught in this event have a chance of knowing Roar of Time and Palkia have a chance of knowing Spacial Rend
A paid ticket is also available that gives increased experience as well as another 8 additional free Raid Passes from Gyms.
It runs from 11am to 5pm in your local time.

A new Pokémon museum campaign has been announced. This is the Pokémon Astronomical Observatory which is a special travelling exhibition showcasing Pokémon throughout the universe including Pokémon based on space
The first run will be in the Sagamihara City Museum from November 1st through January 12th. It will then be held in Tohoku in Spring 2026 through Summer 2026, the Toyohashi Museum of Natural History in Autumn 2026 and the Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture in Winter 2026
A plush will also be available in the store of the Pikachu.

There will also be a special Pokémon TCG Pocket booth with a photo spot and a loung to battle/trade with other players and a sticker sheet. A ssleeping Snorlax will also be at the venue as part of the Pokémon Sleep Booth which can be visited to get a sticker set including a code for incense in Pokémon Sleep. The Play! Pokémon Access Mobile App will also have a booth to explain he app, and it is a Pin Rally spot as well

The next Pokémon GO Community Day has been announced. This event will run on September 14th 2025 will focus on Flabébé.
Red Flower Flabébé: Appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
Blue Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Asia-Pacific region
Yellow Flower Flabébé: Appearing in the Americas
Orange Flower Flabébé: All regions
White Flower Flabébé: All regions
This event will 25% Incubator Distance, 2* Catch Candy and double the chance to get XL Candy as well as 3 hours Incense and Lure Modules.
It will also give out the move Chilling Water to Florges. You will be able to purchase a ticket to receive Special Research which offers multiple encounters with Flabébé with including 3 with a Special Background and the Special Background Timed Research will be free to all players and offer an encounter with Flabébé with the Special Background.
The Community Day runs at 2pm to 5pm in each local time zone

On Friday and Saturday, if you watch for 30 minutes you will get a Murkrow Emblem and a Rental License Select Box and if you watch for 60 minutes you get a jersey Random Box
On Sunday if you watch for 10 minutes you'll get the 500 Aeos Coins and a Rental License Select Box and if you atch for 30 minutes you'll get the Murkrow Platinum Emblem and a Gift Box including Unite License, Clothing and a Worlds Jersey

Pokémon Masters EX - Academy Event
The "Best Buddies Program" Academy Event has begun a run in Pokémon Masters EX. This event is the latest Academy Event where you get given a Sync Pair, in this case Brendan (Academy) & Marshtomp, and have to battle through stages to earn Orbs in order to power them up. It runs until August 23rd
To tie in with that, a new Costume Scout is available to get the Sync Pair of Gladion (Academy) & Porygon-Z. A second Costume Scout is also live to get Iris (Academy) & Lapras.

The latest Tera Raid Battle event is now live in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This is the special Raid event which offers 5 Star Raid Battles against Shiny Chien-Pao with the Ice Tera Type. It cannot be captured but if it's defeated over 1 million times before it ends, then Shiny Chien-Pao will be distributed to all players from August 22nd 2025.

The Pokémon GO Pass: August has started rolling out.. This will run from August 5th at 10:00 local time through September 3rd 2025. As before, a free track is available for all players who gain access, or you can purchase to get even more rewards
The Pass will include encounters with Pokémon like Moltres, as well as Stardust, Candy, Poké Balls, and if you purchase then you'll get a Lucky Trinket, additional encounters and premium items.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Ranked Battle Regulation J has been officially announced. This Regulation Ruleset will run from September 1st 2025 through to January 4th 2026 and allows for you to use up to 2 Special Pokémon on a team including Mythical Pokémon for the first time
While Ranked Battle will be Regulation J, live VGC tournaments will use Regulation H until the end ofNovember 2025

The next Pokémon GO event has been announced. This is the 2025 Pokémon World Championships Celebrationevent and is due to run from August 15th at 10:00 to August 17th at 20:00 local time and adds Pikachu in its 2025 Worlds outfit into the game
There will be two T-Shirts available in-game. One at the venue which is yellow obtained through Scavenger Hunt Timed Research and a white one available through a code shared o nthe World Championships stream
During the event, you will have 5 Special Trades a Day, additional encounters and an increased chance to find Pikachu in a jacket
Pikachu & Honedge will be in 1 Star Raids
Lapras, Dusclops and Diggersby will be in 3 Star Raids
Pikachu, Marill, Paldean Wooper and Honedge will be in Field Research
Nidoran Female, Mankey, Marill, paldean Wooper, Spoink, Frillish, Vullab,y Inkay, Rookidee and Fuecoco will be in the wild
There will be paid Timed Research to get a Battle Pass, 25,000 Stardust and encounters with Lickitung, Lapras, Azumarill, Sableye, Swalot, Claydol, Carbink, Guzzlord and Lokix
Lapras will know Ice Beam, Primeape & Annihilape will know Rage Fist and Clodsire will know Megahorn during the event
There will also be a 2025 Worlds Jersey and a 2025 Worlds Visor available in the avatar shop

We have updated our Trainer Lodge Topics page to include the points each topic will give you when you speak to Lusamine
A new Gym Scout is available with Gym Ticket C which allows for you to get the newly added Sync Pairs of Fantina & Dusknoir, Lana & Cloyster & Roxie & Garbodor.
